More England Absentees

England squad to play Germany: Carson, Robinson, James, Bridge, Davies, Johnson, Terry, Lescott, Mancienne, Richards, Upson, Barry, Carrick, Downing, Bullard, Parker, Wright-Phillips, A Young, Agbonlahor, Bent, Crouch, Defoe, Walcott.

This is the new revised England squad after Hart got injured, replaced with Paul "Tubbs" Robinson, Gerrard and Lampard have just been ruled out, Heskey is injured anyway, and we replace that midfield duo with Jimmy Bullard and Scott Parker - what the hell? And what's up with Wes Brown? Who's going to play right-back come to think of it?! An out of form Richards? A least Terry is likely to recover from injury to be able to play, so that'll be a boost, but at this rate, our team is going to suck worse than the France team that got beaten by Senegal in World Cup 2002 and then failed to qualify past the group stages. Shocker from France there by the way.

At this rate, our starting line-up is likely to be:

James, Bridge, Terry, Upson, Richards, Downing, Carrick, Barry, Walcott, Bent, Crouch

I can just see it now. What a joke. Naturally, I'll take it back if we actually beat the Germans, who are likely to be missing Frings and Ballack at most. Oh well. Fun times.
