Another loss!

  • Mood: Absolutely knackared - about to collapse
  • Music: Violet (acoustic) - Joey Cape

Edgmond Lion 1 - 5 Cosford. Ouch! A few soft goals in there, and the rest were just sloppy defending because we were too lazy to defend. Came on for the last 20minutes and have come out with a rather large cut and bruise on the right leg somehow. Had 2 good chances, one blocked by a great last ditch tackle and one I should've put away but the keeper was quick out to block. Hmm.

Went to Tibberton afterwards for another big kickaround with a bunch of mates, just a bit of 7v7 fun, which was great fun, although I'm shattered and sore from that because Johnno kept fucking hacking at my ankles all the god damn time, but then he gets pissed off when people hack at him. What a twat! I think he was just bitter because for the first two goals I scored I absolutely tore him apart, and later I lobbed Bun with the outside of my right foot (on the left side of the pitch) from about 20 yards on the counter attack

Got the car back today because Mom's friend is being a bit of a twat about it being on his ridiculously oversized drive and is being completely paranoid about absolutely nothing. Silly old man. So, Tim and Matty went to pick it up (even though Tim's only home for a day and half each week because of Germany, so thanks Tim!) I'll take some pictures tomorrow.

Went out Friday night with the team for a team night out, starting with a couple of drinks and a chinese in the Lion before taking the minibus to a variety of pubs in the countryside. Terrific night out, lots of banter, lots of good old fashioned sing-song in the minibus - absolutely hilarious! What wasn't hilarious was the horrific hangover I nursed for the whole of yesterday and the amount of times I was sick yesterday. I'm no longer immune to hangovers, hooray, just what I needed. Besides that, I made £15 by winning two games of Killer Pool out of the three we played. Sweet. Still feel a bit ill now though, with a swolen throat, but heh, nevermind. Top night, from what I remember... Oh, yeah, I remember accidentally putting my hand through a window in one of the not-so-populated toilets. Oops!

Last night everybody was back in Newport for Old Boys, which I would've stayed for but for the fact that I was ill and wanted an early night for an early start. It's a shame because old boys is always such a laugh and everybody from school is back out and people you haven't seen in years and all sorts. Best night out in Newport you'll ever have! Hah!

Oh and Chelsea drew with West Ham today when we could've taken advantage of the other 3 teams in the Top 4 drawing and putting ourselves top of the table again. Chance wasted! And MORE points dropped at home. Sigh. Stamford Bridge is no longer the fortress it once was, it seems. A shame. I hope we rectify this soon, Stamford Bridge is supposed to be a safe haven.

Other than that semi-eventful weekend, the week has been quiet. I heard next door's new baby through the wall for the first time on Wednesday... I suppose it's time to crank up the music again! Bless, he's not even a month old yet - i'll have to pop round sometime in the week and let them know about my birthday plans and such.
